Clinical Rotations - Can most be done in-town?

I'm planning on applying to Emory, Nova, and South this fall and I have some questions about 2nd year clinical rotations. I just got married this summer, and if I am accepted to one of these programs, my husband and I will be moving. I understand that AA programs are tough and very time-consuming. I am not so much worried about the time commitment being a stress to my marriage as I am about having to do clinical rotations away from the city that my school is in (and therefore away from my hubby). In a perfect world, I would like to stay in the city that my husband and I are living in for most clinical rotations. Is this possible? Or should I expect to be traveling around a lot during that year? Is it easier to stay in-town for rotations at one school over another (ie: Maybe most rotations at Emory can be done in Atlanta since it's so huge, versus rotations for South U in Savannah, which is not so huge)? Unfortunately, the websites for these schools don't give too much information about clinical rotations. I'd appreciate any info or advice that you could send my way! Thanks!

I would say that South would be the hardest place to do your rotations nearby. The Atlanta and Miami area both have a ton of hospitals, and therefore clinical sites available. I'm married and feel the same way as you do, but I'm pretty sure I'll be away for at least a few months out during clinicals...but hey, even while I'm in town here just taking classes, there are days when I don't really see my wife. Some nights I get home after she is asleep and I leave before she wakes up. But hey, its just two years right. At least it's not med school...I can actually start to see the light at the end of the tunnel

I was wondering, does anyone know if there are clinical sites in either Vermont or New Hampshire? I know its probably a long shot, but I'm from Boston and would like to get back to New England at some point.
