Former Michael Jackson bodyguard Matt Fiddes, who spent ten years with the pop star, claims he hid needles from the legendary entertainer out of fear that Jackson's addiction to painkillers was potentially fatal.

"We went to great efforts to keep the doctors away. But as soon as we said anything and it got back to Michael, Michael would have a screaming fit that we were interfering with his private life, that he knew what he was doing."

Fiddes told reporters that, as far as he's concerned "they have Michael's blood on their hands. They know what they've done and there's people out there who could have helped, could have stepped in, but didn't do for financial reasons."

Fiddes went out of his way to say that the Michael Jackson he knew "was not a druggie. There was no cocaine or anything crazy like that. It was prescription medication and painkillers."

"I confiscated packages," he added, "and Uri did, too. I mean, Uri confiscated, you know, injection equipment...from his room and whisked it away. And Uri would scream at Michael, you know, intensely to stop doing this. But we just were getting pushed out."

According to, Michael's body showed numerous needle marks on examination after his death. Speculation is rampant that the singer may have received an injection of the drug Propofol, a powerful anesthesia. The dangerous, and potentially deadly medication was found in Jackson's house after his death.  -
