Can any working Anesthesiologist Assistant give some insight as to what a typical day/ week at work is in a hospital or other environment? I am interested in going to school for AA and would like to gather a better perspective about what a typical day would be for an AA. Questions I have are:
How many hours a week do you work?
Is your schedule very unpredictable?
Do you enjoy your job?
Knowing what you do now, if you had to do it all over again would you still become an AA? If not, what would you be doing?
Is it hard to balance work/ life being an AA?
How difficult is it to find a job after school?
In Florida, do you think more hospitals will be hiring AA's?
During school is it impossible to have a part time job?
I'd love to hear from some AA's on these questions. It'd be a great help to me as I'm trying to get an idea of what my life will be like if I choose to become an AA.
Thanks!
